God Answers
Over the past few weeks I have not made time to spend with God and I have really felt the difference. It makes me realise how dependent I am on His grace and His Holy Spirit. What I love about keeping close to God is a more ready sense of His presence and His promptings, the ability to respond to sin by His Spirit, and also the deep sense of joy that comes just from walking with Him. It always makes me wonder why I let my times with Him slip?
But the amazing thing is that God remains. He is completely faithful in His commitment to us and in His love for us. And even more, that He so quickly responds when we reach out to Him.
I was really reminded of that this week. I was quite awestruck. For the first time in ages, I went off and started to seek Him. Even before I started to say anything I became aware of the strength of His presence and how life-giving it is. I didn’t know where to begin because it’s been ages. God answered before I said a word. As I sat there quietly, He said “Psalm 62:8.” I immediately looked it up and it says, “… Pour out your heart before Him …”
I was so struck by this. By the reality of Him. By the way He actually speaks to us. What beautiful encouragement from Him, and it really wasn’t deserved. Praise Him for His goodness and His faithfulness. It’s reminded me to never doubt how close He stays, and how much He loves us to pour our lives out before Him.

Wow Birgs…this is truley amazing. I have had that same revelation recently and I’m always overwhelmed by His Unconditional Love.
What a beautiful blog! God does not love us “from a distance”; He did not create the world and then leave it to us to work it all out; we did not evolve. God created the earth and everything in it, including us, and then chose to interact with us as a loving Father, up close and personal. He loves us, He cares for us, He wants to talk to us and listen to us. And all we have to do is ask or call out to Him. How awesome!!
