Mum and I enjoy going for walks in the warm summer evenings and talking. One of things I love about a view of the water is that it is constantly changing; each picture of it is different from the last. One day, it is glassy and turquoise and still, the next it is wild; crashing and frothing against the rocky verge.

Another thing I love about being in Hawkes Bay at the moment is the sky. I seem to be taking lots of photos of just sky. First thing when I wake, out of the bedroom window, at the height of the day when the heat is thick; and then at dusk when the sky is soft and pink. It, too, changes so much and there seems to be such an open expanse of it. Endless. The shades of blue are so brilliant. Anyway, I love nature, so that part of being home is a real highlight for me :). Here is a photo of the scenery of our walk.
