But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light 1 Peter 2:9.

I love the way that God defines us through His Word. How amazing that we belong to God; that we are His own special people … chosen … holy … a royal priesthood, this verse tell us.

And our purpose as God’s set apart, special people? To proclaim His praises! To communicate our gratitude and awe and love of Him who had the power to take us from darkness - from sadness, from anxiety, from anger and stress, from illness and broken relationships, from empty materialism, and all kinds of bondage, into His marvelous light, where there is freedom and beauty and rest for our souls.

Praise You Father. May You be lifted up before all men and may we show forth Your praises to all generations Psalm 79:13 – You, who is worthy to receive all blessing and honour and glory and power forever and ever Revelation 5:13.
