We have just got back from the most lovely spring weekend in Paris. We have family staying with us from New Zealand, and it was their first time in this beautiful city.

I love the distinctiveness of Paris. To me it has this very unique personality; the cafes which sprawl onto the pavements, the beauty of the language, soft camembert on crusty bread, wine, the bridges over the Seine. The detail on the sculptures and the buildings, and the grandness of the famous scenes – the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower.

And add to that the spring. Tulips and poppies, parks full of trees and the warm sun. Ice cream on a promenade, in the shade.

Above is a sample of photos from the weekend. The speed seems to be a little fast; if you’d like to slow the sequence down, you’ll see an option there to do that. I hope you enjoy them J.
