The Best Day

It was my birthday recently, and I had the best day. Cafes, dear friends, lots of cake, sunshine (I asked God for sun amidst all this grey and rain we’ve been having, and He answered), surprises from Michael, lots of laughs, a road trip, and time in a village in the Cotswalds, a really beautiful part of England. Thanks so much for your lovely birthday cards and emails, I felt really blessed. I’ve put together a slideshow to share some scenes from the day, I hope you enjoy …

Beautiful pictures, thank you for sharing these! What a lovely birthday.

One day we might be able to spend our birthdays together Susanne, miss you.
The photographs are superb. The candy in the window was my second favorite. My most favorite is the one of you. :-) What a divine day. Thanks for the smiles.
I am so glad you had a nice Bday. Thank you for sharing it with us. May He bless you with even more of Himself in your new year. :)
Happy Birthday Birgit! :) Looks like an awesome day start to finish!

Beautiful. I almost felt like I was in Oxford or Stratford-upon-Avon again. LOVE the red ivy. Oh, man! Made me nostalgic…good nostalgia.
Happy belated birthday and thanks for sharing! Love you, Birgit!
Hi @ngie, that’s so nice :), I know what you mean about the candy store, the little shop, and it’s lovely window, looked like something out of a fairy-tale :)

Oh wow Michelle, I can imagine how some of these scenes would take you back :) The red ivy was a highlight for me, I took loads of pictures of the leaves because of the vivid colour – scarlett! I’ll email you one, once I’ve got the photos sorted if you like? I didn’t realise you’d spent time/visited Oxford. Did you know we lived there? Thank you for your birthday message, love you too!
Your talent inspires me to look for the beauty in everything.
I would LOVE one of those pictures of the ivy whenever you have time. Yes, only a couple of nights, but we did spend time in Oxford. Myfavorite was Bath…is that considered part of the Cotswold district?
Of course, York, Chester and then Ediburgh, Scotland were the best cities to me. Oh…here I go again…nostalgia.
Belated happy birthday B. Love you much.
What a great way to end a day… a stroll down beautiful lanes, could practically smell the cafe, and the sounds to the pics topped the slide show off. Thanks for sharing your special moments. Blessings, Roxanne
Hope, that is so lovely, thank you so much friend :)

Yes sure Michelle, would love to send one through :). I think Bath is part of the Cotswold district (oops I spelt that wrong in the post – eek), I haven’t been there actually.
Aren’t Chester and Edinburgh beautiful? My great-grandfather is from Chester :) Do you think you and Phat will visit again?

Love you G, thank you so much :)
