Daisies, Cinnamon Tea and Writing
I decorated our place with flowers yesterday. I think gerbera daisies are my favourite. They’re so happy looking. They make me happy just looking at them! I sat down with my coffee this morning, and there they were in a vase right beside my laptop. They’re so cheerful and lovely, I had to include a picture of them :).
I’m about to get started on my writing for the day. It’s been a while since I updated about it, but I am at the stage of submitting the early chapters to my tutor. If you happen to be new to my blog, I’m currently working on writing a Christian novel.
Something that has been so exciting this week in relation to my novel is that I interviewed a friend of mine, who is also a GP. Various characters in the story face different health and lifestyle issues and I’m researching these at the moment. My friend agreed to be grilled for hours about everything from binge-drinking to sexuality to anxiety and depression. So we sat and drank cinnamon tea into the evening, while my dear husband went out to a boys-action movie to give us some space, and my friends’ insights and experiences were invaluable!
It brings me back to a place of thankfulness to God. He provides for us each step of the way and gives us more and more of His grace. I would so appreciate your prayers for this novel, for God’s leading in every way. My hope is that the story will reflect His limitless love and grace, and the way He restores us from brokenness and hurt. I would love to pray for your needs too, so please feel free to reply with anything you would like prayer for right now as well.

The way you prepare your environment before you write is so interesting. You really put your whole self into it. I like that.
that’s exciting you are writing a novel! :) prayed for you. can’t wait to hear more about it & read it! :) xoxo
May He fill your with His Spirit and may His creativity be yours as you write this novel. I ask in Jesus Name.
I think God is finally teaching me what self-control is, if you could pray I am a good student. :)
I have been so tickled by this cinnamon tea the whole day- I’m guessing it tastes like pancakes! I’m praying for you and this book, I’m so excited about it!
Hi @ngie, I must admit that there are not always pretty flowers nearby, but you are so right that environment makes a difference, at least for me. Quietness, tidiness, and solitude all seem to help :)

Hee, hee, hee Irene. Cinnamon tea is lovely :) The scent especially, spicey-sweet. I don’t think I’ve tried cinnamon on pancakes but that sounds divine :).
Thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement too, God bless.
I love you! Simply love you. :)
Birg,
Lifting you up to Jesus tonight, asking that His Spirit flow through you…onto the paper. Please pray for me as I live in a world of sadness & depression over the deaths of my beloved daughters, Jenny & Joni…

Hi Dwight, thank you so much for your wonderful prayer. I am so sorry to read about the loss of your two daughters. May the Lord Jesus be with you and your family, may He bring you His comfort, and His peace. I will certainly be praying.
Gerbera daisies are my favorite and I drink cinammon twig tea. It’s like Christmas in a cup.
I’ll add you and the novel writing to my prayers on your behalf.
Love you, Birgs!
Christmas in a cup! Love it, Michelle, that’s exactly what it’s like :) Thank you so much for adding me and the novel to your prayer list, apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5).
Love you, bless you!
Birgit, I can’t wait to read it! I just know if it’s going to be anointed, absorbing, exciting and life-transforming. Hmmm… cinnamon tea… I like it! Good for the blood sugar too! Praying for Holy Spirit inspiration and that special touch that He has given you to shine thrrough in this wonderful gift! If you need a proof reader… xxx
