Summer in New Zealand

I’m really excited to show a slideshow of photos from our time at home. There are pictures of meadows, the blue sky, waves and the sand; photos of home scenes and garden cafe scenes, and little things that caught my eye. You will see photos of yellow grass, the land scorched by the heat. There were signs of drought in the part of the country where we were staying. This was surprising as it’s only the beginning of the summer season there. The sun truly was magnificent, it really does bring happiness with it, I find. It reminds me of the verse in Ecclesiastes that says, “truly the light is sweet, and it is pleasant for the eyes to behold the sun” 11:7.
I hope you enjoy the photos, with every blessing to you.

Beautiful! Those black beaches are breathtaking! And it gives the sea such a dark blue colour- I love it. The landscapes are also stunning, I can see it is quite dry. It looks really so peaceful and quiet there… :)
Wow, Birg. Thank you for sharing, and once again, the music choice is perfect!!!
I’m glad you mentioned there were signs of drought. I hadn’t expected such dryness. Parts of it actually reminded me of Texas. And like Ripple said, the black beaches and the dark water…breathtaking!!
Black beaches, red ice cream and beautiful scenery – what more could you wish for?! You have captured New Zealand at its best Birgit. I wouldn’t have wanted to come back!
Beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing them. :)
Whenever you come back from holiday I always thoroughly enjoy looking at the images you capture. Somehow you have a way of marveling in God’s creation that draws me in every time. Thanks for choosing to see the details that make life beautiful, Birgit.
Birgit, I would tell you again how talented you are, how gifted, but those words wouldn’t begin to describe what you are. Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos.
Thanks for taking me on another wonderful vacation!
Thank you so much to each of you for your lovely replies. I’m so happy that you enjoyed the photos, and it gave some sense of what we did and saw back home :). With every blessing to each of you.
