Road Trip
I’m not sure if it counts as a real road trip, because no car was actually involved, but we travelled from Las Vegas to San Francisco by bus. We rode the Greyhound.
We were keen to go by road for part of our trip, and to see some of the landscape, and being jet-lagged and not used to the whole right side of the road, left side of the car thing, bus was definitely our best option.
It was a long day. Fifteen hours. Through the desert in Nevada and into the stunningly sunny state of California (it has been so sunny!!)
I love journeys. The ride more than the end oftentimes. The scenes that change and speed by. Lost in thought. Lost in music. The hours blur.
I loved the aridness of the desert. The dusty earth. A lone cactus.
And then the height of the afternoon at a little bus station in San Fernando, standing under the bluest of skies, the hot sun at my neck, a cold diet coke and a packet of chips.
Dusk had long passed when we arrived into San Francisco, this most stunning of cities. I can’t wait to post more soon.

What a life! You are right. I do love the journey. Thanks for letting us ride shotgun. Have a blast!
Hi @ngie, it was such a fun experience :), I especially loved the desert. Such a different landscape from any I remember seeing. Hope you’re well xo
Hi, you lucky traveller! Can you take the bus to Chicago, too? Two years ago we drove in our car from Chicago all the way to Seattle and back. What a trip.
Enjoy the journey!
Looking forward to hearing more! Hry, I can leave messages on your blog from work but not home :(
Hi Susanne, It would be SO fun to see you! We will definitely have to make it to Chicago sometime :D

Hi Hope, yay! So great to get your reply, but that’s odd about only being able to leave them on here from work and not home. It’s lovely to hear from you anyway, so that’s great there’s a kind of solution of in the meantime :)
