Sunday in the City
Just a few photos from the weekend – I got such a nice surprise when I woke yesterday, with Michael having this really lovely idea of treating me to a day of some things I love – breakfast at a cafe by the Thames, a walk along the river, an art gallery, and later, the movie of Coco Chanel’s early life, set in turn-of-last century France.
Here a few pictures of the day. I asked for the big size latte, and got a whole bowl! It was great, ha, ha. The bottom photos are of The Monument in central London, built in the 1670s to commemorate the Great Fire of London.
What are some of your favourite things to do if you have a day to yourself or with someone you love?

I love the picture with the sun shining through the clouds!
We’re spending our summer holiday on Oak Island, North Carolina, we are on the beach every day, swimming in the warm water. Erion is starting to like the water, too. Love, Susanne
Hi Susanne!
So great to hear from you, and what a lovely holiday at the beach, swimming every day! I can just imagine Erion being in his element playing in the sand, and paddling in the water
Have a wonderful time, lots of love to you all xo
Great to have romance in your life. Its wonderful to do things for each other – that’s what love is about. Lorraine
Hi Aunty Lorraine
Yes, I completely agree. So lovely to do things for each other, and just enjoying time together! Love you xo
Ah, what a lovely day.
Hm, for me I would have to be outdoors for part of it, driving around for another part, and eating a deli sandwich some time.
That sounds so great @ngie – I remember you saying how much you love driving
