We met some friends for dinner at the river last night.
It was this perfect summer evening.
Here are a few photos. Have a lovely day today.

Yes, what a special summer evening it was!
We have to make the most of them, huh? :) Lots of love to you Des xo
Yes, lovely walks along the river. It is such a nice area. Lx
Looking forward to your visit next year :) lots of love xo
Oh how beautiful and peaceful along the river!:)
As I read the title I was thinking the Thames…then seeing the pics…I can’t imagine it! That river reminds me more of the one that flows through Oxford, but still a bit too wide in my mind’s eye.
What a lovely evening you must have had. I can see the swans in the last picture. They grace any event.
Hope your weekend is restful. Love you, Birg!
Simply breathtaking, Birgit. These photos, like most of your photos, bring tears to my eyes.
The water is so calm on the pictures, so inviting, I could just dive in there.
It really was so still, Rain. Just a couple of days later the weather turned, and the mood it created was so different. I love seeing these changes, and espcially love seeing it when it’s as still and peaceful as this :)

You’re exactly right Michelle, it is the Thames :) It looks very different depending on the tides and on which part of London you are. Did you and Phat spend much time in London during the time you lived in the UK?
Love you too – looking forward to you visiting us in this part of the world some time ;)

That’s so beautiful, Hope, isn’t God’s creation such an incredible blessing? I remember those lovely photos you posted of trees close by to where you live full of red leaves in the fall – maybe you’ll post some more this year? ;)

I so know what you mean about it looking inviting Susanne :) Unfortunately the advice is not to swim here, but on such a beautiful day it can seem very tempting ;) I so look forward to hearing more about your holiday at the beach, lots of love to you xo
No, Birgit, we only three days in London. We lived in Manchester. Phat was in London last year on business. Hopefully we can take a family trip one of these days. That’s always been our desire…for the kids.
I remember you saying you worked for a Christian bookstore in Manchester when there were very few in the UK. I would love to hear the story again of how it is God led you and Phat to move to the UK. If I’m remembering right, Phat was studying or researching over here?
How great would that be if you and your family do come to London sometime! I would so love to hang out in person :)
Yes, Birgit, we lived in Manchester. My husband was a research assistant for one of his professors working on a book about John Wesley. Here’s the link, if you’re interested:

I would love to get in touch, if we ever make it to the other side of the pond again. I’ll let you know about any future plans!!
Love you. xo
I do believe that living near beautiful water is very good for the soul.
Simple beautiful.
Thanks so much for this link Michelle, I so enjoyed reading this. I left a comment for you there, but I’ll just repeat it here too:
“Thanks so much for the link to this article Michelle, it’s so good reading about your experiences with your husband living and working here in the UK. How amazing is God to go before you both and work out the details!
And it sounds like such an amazing time of growth for you personally in your relationship with Him. I love how you described God revealing to you how He chose you, how much He loves you, and how He will never let you out of His hand.
Lots of love to you xo”
And yes, definitely let me know of future plans to come over ;) xo
